End User License Agreement

1. Accepting these terms

By signing in, creating an account, or using the LedgerDude website and services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What LedgerDude is

LedgerDude is a bookkeeping operations workspace owned and operated by LedgerDude, LLC. It connects business owners with their bookkeeping team to share documents, messages, tasks, and read-only accounting data from QuickBooks Online.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information when you sign up. You are responsible for keeping your password and account safe. If you think someone else has access to your account, tell us right away at jwhit25@gmail.com.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use LedgerDude to break the law, harass others, upload harmful files, or try to access data you are not allowed to see. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

5. QuickBooks connection

LedgerDude can read information from QuickBooks Online when you or your bookkeeper authorizes the connection. LedgerDude does not change, delete, or post anything to QuickBooks unless a staff reviewer has gone through the approval workflow in the service, and then only in a sandbox environment during testing.

6. Your data

You keep ownership of the documents and information you upload. We only use your data to provide bookkeeping services and to improve the product. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

7. Payments and subscriptions

Some plans may require payment. Fees are described on the Pricing page. If you sign up for a paid plan, you agree to pay the fees on time. You can cancel or change your plan through your account settings or by contacting us.

LedgerDude, LLC is the seller and merchant of record for all orders placed on this site. We handle customer service, cancellations, and returns ourselves. Card payments are processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe, which handles your card details on our behalf. Applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated and added at checkout.

8. No guarantee of results

LedgerDude helps organize bookkeeping work, but it is not a certified accounting opinion. You are responsible for reviewing your books and tax filings with a licensed professional when needed.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, LedgerDude, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you did not pay.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make important changes, we will post them here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after changes means you accept the new terms.
